Experience, Empathy and Work Ethic
Richard A. Englemann, Esq. brings decades of well-rounded legal experience to his work as an attorney, shaped by more than 25 jury trials and extensive appellate advocacy in both State and Federal courts. Known for his depth of knowledge and strategic approach, he leverages his broad background to provide exceptional representation to injured clients.
Richard began his legal career as an intern for Federal District Court Judge Phillip M. Pro (Ret.). After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jack Lehman (Ret.) of the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada. During his clerkship, he handled both criminal and civil calendars as well as matters before the Clark County Drug Court Program, gaining early exposure to complex judicial processes.
He later joined the law firm Eglet Prince, which merged into Prince | Keating Law Group, where he practiced insurance defense for 16 years. His work centered on catastrophic injury cases and complex insurance litigation, including first- and third-party bad faith claims and coverage disputes. His years of experience defending Fortune 100 insurance companies now serve as a significant advantage for his clients, giving him insight into the very strategies and systems he works to overcome on behalf of injured victims.
Richard eventually brought his extensive litigation and trial background to THE702FIRM Injury Attorneys, where he continues to advocate for clients with precision, tenacity, and a deeply informed understanding of the insurance industry.
Education
Richard earned his Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and launched his career through highly respected judicial and federal internships. His early training under Federal District Court Judge Phillip M. Pro (Ret.) and his clerkship with Judge Jack Lehman (Ret.) provided a rigorous foundation in civil and criminal procedure, judicial decision-making, and high-level legal analysis.
This early mentorship and academic path equipped him with the knowledge and discipline that continue to shape his approach to litigation and trial strategy today.
Personal Background
Before entering the legal field, Richard built a diverse and hands-on professional background that uniquely complements his work as an attorney. He worked as an auto, diesel, and heavy equipment mechanic, including in mining and drilling operations—experience that gives him uncommon practical insight into many of the catastrophic injury cases he handles today.
His commitment to public safety and community service runs deep. Richard volunteered in emergency services as an emergency medical technician, firefighter, and Sheriff’s deputy in Search and Rescue operations. This combination of technical skill, crisis response experience, and community involvement enriches his ability to understand the real-world impact of injuries and advocate for those who suffer them.
Life Outside the Law
Outside the courtroom, Richard is an active and adventurous individual. He is an avid golfer, motorcyclist, bicyclist, and firearms enthusiast. His background and hobbies reflect a lifelong curiosity, discipline, and a hands-on approach to both work and life.
